Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders

After numerous promos and competitions over the last month, the two teams finally square off in a championship opportunity. The Street Profits are looking to defend their titles and The Viking Raiders are looking to win the gold. Once the bell rang, The Street Profits started out hot and almost picked up the 3-count with the challengers own move the Viking Experience. The match was back-and-forth until it seemed like The Viking Raiders had an opportunity to win. Then, Ivar missed off the tope rope and then the Street Profits retained their titles. The two teams showed a sign of respect for each other after the match until Zelina Vega’s henchman Angel Garza and Andrade came out to the ring and attacked the champions. The Viking Raiders came back and helped the champions. This whole scene is a mess and the tag team championships on the Raw Brand deserve better.

Result: The Street Profits defeated The Viking Raiders via pinfall to retain their championships.

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair

Earlier in the night former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was attacked by Nia Jax. However, with her arm heavily taped she still came out to the ring and compete. Both competitors are arguably some of the best strikers in the Women’s Division. Asuka went straight after the injured arm. Flair also delivered powerful strikes to stun the Women’s Champion. Flair locked in her infamous Figure-Four but then the Empress of Tomorrow counted with a pin-attempt and then locked in a modified triangle. Charlotte was able to power out and powerbomb Asuka to break the hold. However, the champ held onto the grip and put Flair in the Asuka lock forcing her to tap. This match had great potential prior to the Jax attack. This angle took a weird turn as Jax injured Asuka’s tag team partner Kairi Sane but now attacks Charlotte giving Asuka a huge advantage in her match.

Result: Asuka beats and retains against Flair via submission.

Grade: B

24/7 Championship Match: R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa

In the third title defense of the night we saw 24/7 Champion R-Truth defend against Akira Tozawa. A frustrated Bobby Lashley stormed to the ring and wiped out ninjas and R-Truth as revenge for Truth costing Lashley the WWE Championship last week on Raw. After the attack a more than satisfied MVP and Lashley head back to the locker room. Tozawa then slides in and picks up the easy pinfall to win the 24/7 Championship. This match was terrible and just terrible booking.

Result: Akira Tozawa defeats R-Truth and wins the 24/7 Championship via pinfall.

Grade: F

Liv Morgan vs. Natalya (with Lana)

Liv Morgan had full control of this match early-on. However, the veteran Natalya was able to pull through and put Morgan in the Sharpshooter for the submission victory. After the match Natalya and Lana hugged and celebrated. There was no point or clear description of what was going on. This booking decision was not very good and did not set up for anything.

Result: Natalya defeats Liv Morgan via submission

Grade: F

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The IIconics vs. Golden Role Models

Sasha Banks and Bayley returned to Raw to defend their titles against The IIconics. The IIconics started off the match hot and almost gained a quick pinfall to win the titles. There was miscommunication between Bayley and Banks at one point. However, they were able to get back on page and Banks made Peyton Royce tap out. After the match, Banks admitted she was jealous of Bayley’s extra belt and her desire of a championship opportunity. She then challenged Asuka to a match for the title in the future.

Result: Golden Role Models defeat and retain their titles against The IIconics via submission.

Apollo Crews Joins ‘The VIP Lounge,’ Battles Shelton Benjamin

Apollo Crews was a special guest on MVP’s “The VIP Lounge” in MVP’s effort to recruit Crews. After Crews rejected, MVP calls for Benjamin to attack Crews from behind which later set up a map. WWE is becoming way too predictable now and it is time for Triple H to finally takeover or WWE should hire a new creative team. Crews defeated Benjamin. Crews then approaches MVP only to be laid out by Bobby Lashley.

Result: Apollo Crews defeats Shelton Benjamin via pinfall.
