Even though the MLB season started, this pandemic is still affecting baseball. Many games and series have had to be postponed due to potential players being exposed and positive tests.
A few Miami Marlins players went to a Gentleman’s Club in Atlanta after a series with the Atlanta Braves. A few days later test results came back and 17 Marlins players tested positive. Anybody that played the Marlins or the teams that played the Marlins also had their games cancelled. The Marlins essentially created a plague all because some players were too immature to stay away from the club.

The St. Louis Cardinals also had some players and staff test positive. They were sent to the hospital immediately. This also led to games and series being postponed between the Cardinals and the Pittsburgh Pirates.

So far we have 17 MLB players opt-out of the season due to this pandemic. Some notable players are Marcus Strowman, Yoenis Cespedes, Felix Hernandez, Lorenzo Cain, Michael Kopech, Buster Posey, and David Price.
It has gotten so bad that the MLB had thoughts about completely cancelling the season. Luckily, they didn’t but if positive tests rise it may have to be a possibility. Even though I would be mad if the season is cancelled I would understand because players and staff’s safety is the most important thing.
