AEW Dynamite Results 6/24/20

Wardlow vs Luchasaurus in a Lumberjack Match

These two behemoths continue their rivalry with the Lucha Express and Wardlow and MJF. There was madness all over the ring and non-stop action. Wrestlers were flying all over the place. Superstars even fought at the ramp and superstars were thrown over the stage. Eventually, when both wrestlers returned to the ring MJF got involved and stood up on the ring apron. Jungle Boy came and speared MJF out of the ring. With the referee distracted, Wardlow hit Luchasaurus with a low blow. Wardlow then used his finisher for the ring. After the match, all the Lumberjacks came to the ring and an all out brawl broke loose.

Result: Wardlow defeated Luchasaurus via pinfall

Grade: A

Hikaru Shida vs Red Velvet.

Before the match, #1 contender Penelope Ford slapped Shida in the face. Shida hit her opponent with one move and then scored the the win. Shida then went straight after the Ford in a brawl. The match was short and terrible. However, the brawl was somewhat entertaining. If I had to give the brawl a grade I would give it a C- but I am only grading the matches.

Result: Shida defeats Red Velvet via pinfall.

Grade: F

“The Exalted One” Mr. Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana vs. Joey Janella and Sonny Kiss

Mr. Brodie Lee started off the match with aggressive strikes. Some of the Dark Order members attacked Sunny Kiss when the ref was distracted. Janella and Kiss showed off great chemistry. However, Brodie Lee and Cabana were able to pick up the win. After the match, Lance Archer attacked Sunny Kiss which I found very odd.

Result: Brodie Lee and Colt Cabana defeat Sonny Kiss and Joey Janella via pinfall.

Grade: C+

SCU vs FTR

Both of these tag teams are very talented and interesting to watch. FTR ever since arriving on AEW have drastically increased the amount of competition and excitement in the tag team division. At one point, all members started to shove each other like a bunch of high school kids. Luckily, the teams brawled after going back to the high anticipation this match had. Both teams almost picked up a win on numerous occasions. FTR picks up the win with the Goodnight Express.

Result: FTR defeats SCU via pinfall.

Grade: A-

Brian Cage vs Joe Cruise.

Brian Cage once again defeats an opponent in under 5 minutes. Taz was on commentary and then after the match he calls out champion Jon Moxley once again and hypes up his client Brian Cage. Since Brian Cage is in the champion picture he should start wrestling real competition.

Result: Brian Cage defeats Joe Cruise via pinfall

Grade: D+

Santana with Ortiz vs Matt Hardy

Santana right after the bell forced Hardy into the corner as Ortiz talked trash. The commentators get into an argument with Britt Baker losing interest in the match. Matt attacks Ortiz but then Santana takes advantage of the match. Santana rolls up Hardy for the win and then Ortiz and Santana attacked Hardy.

Result: Santana defeats Matt Hardy via pinfall

Grade: C+

Analysis: With the exception of the Brian Cage and Hikaru Shida match, every match on paper was a good match. There were a lot of good matches as well as some mediocre matches. However, the Brian Cage and Hikaru Shida matches were not exciting and had no point of being on the card. It was just poor booking. If I had to give this show an overall grade I would give it a C+.

What To Expect From The New York Giants In The Upcoming Season

In the 2019-2020 NFL Season the New York Giants finished with a 4-12 record. The Giants had one of the worst offensive lines and defense in the league last year. The Giants ended up with the 4th pick and selected Georgia offensive tackle Andrew Thomas. The Giants also fired most of their coaches including head coach Pat Shurmur. Dave Gettleman and the Giants hired Joe Judge to be the head coach, Jason Garrett to be the offensive coordinator, and Patrick Graham to be the defensive coordinator. In free agency the Giants also signed cornerback James Bradberry, linebackers Blake Martinez, Kyler Fackrell, quarterbacks Colt McCoy and Cooper Rush, as well as running back Dion Lewis.

With this new and improve coaching staff and roster the Giants want to see improvements statistically and in the record books. Joe Judge formerly the special teams coordinator of the New England Patriots has been hired to change the culture and make improvements to the team. Judge has received high praise from Nick Saban and Bill Belichick who are arguably the best coaches in football in college and professional. Garrett also has the responsibility of growing and developing Daniel Jones and have him take a leap in passing yards, and touchdowns. However, Daniel Jones had a turnover issue in his rookie campaign as he threw 12 interceptions and fumbled 18 times losing 11 out of them. Those are both something that needs to be fixed but with a better offensive line and getting more NFL experience those turnovers should lower.

Now, what to expect from the Giants. The Giants are currently dealing with cornerback Deandre Baker and kicker Aldrick Rosas who were both arrested this offseason. Baker was arrested for attempted assault and robbery and Rosas was arrested for a hit-and-run accident where alcohol was likely involved. Baker was a former first round pick who was hoping to play a bigger role next year and Rosas was the starting kicker and was a pro bowl last year.

The Giants have the second hardest schedule next year. The Giants are still a few pieces away from being contenders and a winning team. However, they are going in the right direction. I have the Giants at 7-9 next year which would put the Giants two games under .500 but an improvement of +3 wins from last year. You will see a much better Giants team in my opinion even though they still we be under .500.

I’m looking forward to seeing our new linebacker core as Blake Martinez led the league in tackles last year. I am also looking forward to seeing what our secondary can do with new cornerback James Bradberry who was one of the best man-coverage corners in the league last year. However, I am even more excited for the safety duo of second-round-pick Xavier McKinney and Jabrill Peppers. Another big question is with the additions of Matt Peart, Shane Lemieux, and Andrew Thomas enough to fix the offensive lineman and give Daniel Jones and Saquon Barkley better protection. In my opinion I strongly believe so. Thomas has the potential to be a future All-pro tackle.

The Giants will still be far from a playoff spot next year but there are definitely tons of improvements that Giants fans will notice next season.

Monday Night Raw Results 6/22/20

Raw Tag Team Championship Match: The Street Profits vs. The Viking Raiders

After numerous promos and competitions over the last month, the two teams finally square off in a championship opportunity. The Street Profits are looking to defend their titles and The Viking Raiders are looking to win the gold. Once the bell rang, The Street Profits started out hot and almost picked up the 3-count with the challengers own move the Viking Experience. The match was back-and-forth until it seemed like The Viking Raiders had an opportunity to win. Then, Ivar missed off the tope rope and then the Street Profits retained their titles. The two teams showed a sign of respect for each other after the match until Zelina Vega’s henchman Angel Garza and Andrade came out to the ring and attacked the champions. The Viking Raiders came back and helped the champions. This whole scene is a mess and the tag team championships on the Raw Brand deserve better.

Result: The Street Profits defeated The Viking Raiders via pinfall to retain their championships.

Grade: C-

Raw Women’s Championship Match: Asuka vs. Charlotte Flair

Earlier in the night former NXT Women’s Champion Charlotte Flair was attacked by Nia Jax. However, with her arm heavily taped she still came out to the ring and compete. Both competitors are arguably some of the best strikers in the Women’s Division. Asuka went straight after the injured arm. Flair also delivered powerful strikes to stun the Women’s Champion. Flair locked in her infamous Figure-Four but then the Empress of Tomorrow counted with a pin-attempt and then locked in a modified triangle. Charlotte was able to power out and powerbomb Asuka to break the hold. However, the champ held onto the grip and put Flair in the Asuka lock forcing her to tap. This match had great potential prior to the Jax attack. This angle took a weird turn as Jax injured Asuka’s tag team partner Kairi Sane but now attacks Charlotte giving Asuka a huge advantage in her match.

Result: Asuka beats and retains against Flair via submission.

Grade: B

24/7 Championship Match: R-Truth vs. Akira Tozawa

In the third title defense of the night we saw 24/7 Champion R-Truth defend against Akira Tozawa. A frustrated Bobby Lashley stormed to the ring and wiped out ninjas and R-Truth as revenge for Truth costing Lashley the WWE Championship last week on Raw. After the attack a more than satisfied MVP and Lashley head back to the locker room. Tozawa then slides in and picks up the easy pinfall to win the 24/7 Championship. This match was terrible and just terrible booking.

Result: Akira Tozawa defeats R-Truth and wins the 24/7 Championship via pinfall.

Grade: F

Liv Morgan vs. Natalya (with Lana)

Liv Morgan had full control of this match early-on. However, the veteran Natalya was able to pull through and put Morgan in the Sharpshooter for the submission victory. After the match Natalya and Lana hugged and celebrated. There was no point or clear description of what was going on. This booking decision was not very good and did not set up for anything.

Result: Natalya defeats Liv Morgan via submission

Grade: F

Women’s Tag Team Championship Match: The IIconics vs. Golden Role Models

Sasha Banks and Bayley returned to Raw to defend their titles against The IIconics. The IIconics started off the match hot and almost gained a quick pinfall to win the titles. There was miscommunication between Bayley and Banks at one point. However, they were able to get back on page and Banks made Peyton Royce tap out. After the match, Banks admitted she was jealous of Bayley’s extra belt and her desire of a championship opportunity. She then challenged Asuka to a match for the title in the future.

Result: Golden Role Models defeat and retain their titles against The IIconics via submission.

Grade: A-

Apollo Crews Joins ‘The VIP Lounge,’ Battles Shelton Benjamin

Apollo Crews was a special guest on MVP’s “The VIP Lounge” in MVP’s effort to recruit Crews. After Crews rejected, MVP calls for Benjamin to attack Crews from behind which later set up a map. WWE is becoming way too predictable now and it is time for Triple H to finally takeover or WWE should hire a new creative team. Crews defeated Benjamin. Crews then approaches MVP only to be laid out by Bobby Lashley.

Result: Apollo Crews defeats Shelton Benjamin via pinfall.

Why The New York Knicks Future Is Brighter Than Most People Think?

The New York Knicks have not made the playoffs since 2013. The Knicks have not lost less than 50 games since 2013. The Knicks have been an embarrassing and pathetic franchise for decades. A great organization starts with a great front office and great ownership. Well, the Knicks lack that tremendously. James Dolan is one of the worst NBA owners in the league and his front office is also terrible. The Knicks are one of the worst at drafting as well with the exceptions of RJ Barrett and Mitchell Robinson. However, the Knicks future is brighter than most people think.

RJ Barrett was selected with the third pick in the 2019 draft. In his rookie season, Barrett averaged 14.3 points per game, 5 rebounds per game, 2.6 assists per game, and 1 steal per game. There is still tons of potential for Barrett and he is only going to get better with experience and the right system. However, RJ Barrett is capable of putting up 20 points as his career high is 27 points against the Atlanta Hawks. Barrett is only 20 years old and is already the Knicks Franchise shooting guard for the future.

Mitchell Robinson is also a future star in the making. The Knicks took Robinson 36th overall in 2018. This past season he averaged 9.7 points per game, 7 rebounds per game, and 2.4 blocks per game. He shot 74.2% percent from the field shattering Wilt Chamberlain’s record for best shooting percentage all time in a single season. Robinson has already emerged himself as a future star as well as one of the best shot blockers in the league. He also is only 22 years old. Robinson has already inserted himself into a perennial Defensive Player of the Year candidate.

The New York Knicks also have Kevin Knox and Frank Ntilikina. Even though, they are not that good or at least right now they still have tons of potential. Knox is only 20 years old and added 12.8 points per game in his rookie campaign. If he wants to breakout he needs to work on being a better shooter and a better defender. Ntilikina is a good passer and a great defender. However, he also needs to work on becoming more consistent on offense from a scoring and shooting aspect. Ntilikina is only 21 years old so there is still tons of room for him to develop as well.

If these young players have a chance at developing and becoming better players in the NBA it is crucial that they have a better coaching staff. The Knicks have hired and fired numerous coaches since the 2013 playoff run. The Knicks are interviewing many coaches and some potential candidates are interim Knicks coach Mike Miller, and former Nets coach Kenny Atkinson. I do not know who the best candidate is for the Knicks however, they cannot afford to mess this up again. The Knicks hired Leon Rose to be the next President of basketball operations. Hopefully, with Rose’s presence the Knicks can hire a good coaching staff that can change the culture and direction of the franchise as well as attract free agents.

The Knicks also have a good amount of cap space in the next two years that they could use to attract some free agents with. Madison Square Garden is one of the most well known arenas in the country and many athletes love performing here. Also, the Knicks have a lot of draft capital since they are bad every year as well as the two first round picks the Knicks received from the Mavericks as part of the Kristaps Porzingis trade.

If this new coaching staff can get on board and help the team as well as smart draft picks and smart signings, the Knicks future will be looking bright and they will be heading in the right direction.

Why Tua Tagovailoa Is Poised To Be The Next Great Miami Dolphins QB Since Dan Marino?

On April 23rd, the Miami Dolphins selected Alabama Quarterback Tua Tagovailoa with the 5th pick in the NFL Draft. With this pick, the Dolphins hope they finally found their franchise quarterback. Tagovailoa might have even gone first overall if it wasn’t for him breaking his hip six months earlier as well as LSU QB Joe Burrow breaking out having one of the best collegiate seasons we have seen in a long time.

In his three years at Alabama he threw for 7,442 yards for 87 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. Watching Tua play, he reminds me a lot of Aaron Rodgers in terms of arm strength and releasing the ball. Also, like Rodgers, Tua can roll out and scramble out of the pocket if needed. Tua’s biggest strengths is his ability to throw the deep ball as well as his quick release. Those traits are very important for a QB in the NFL especially since the Dolphins had one of the worst offensive lines in the league last season. The best offensive lineman last year for the Dolphins was Daniel Kilgore who had a pass block win rating at 146th best compared to 171 eligible offensive lineman. However, the Dolphins acquired Ted Karras and Ereck Flowers in the offseason. The Dolphins also drafted two offensive lineman (tackle Austin Jackson and guard Robert Hunt) in the first two rounds. The Dolphins also added Matt Breida and Jordan Howard for additional help in the backfield. It is clear the Dolphins are building the team and offense around Tua and rightfully so.

However, who knows when Tua even takes the field for his debut. The Dolphins currently have journeyman Ryan Fitzpatrick and Josh Rosen on their roster. Fitzpatrick is a serviceable quarterback who can not only teach and mentor Tua, but also hold the fort down until Tua is ready to take the field. If I had to take a guess I would expect to see Tua first take the field Week 12 after their bye week at MetLife Stadium against the New York Jets. The Dolphins have no need to rush Tua since he is the future of the team and he has some injury concerns. Also, it is highly unlikely the Dolphins will make the playoffs next year anyway.

If Tagovailoa can succeed in Miami like he did in Alabama, he will have a bright future and a great career. In my opinion, I think he has the potential to be the best Dolphins QB since Dan Marino. The Dolphins have not had a great QB since Marino, and have historically been terrible since he retired. The Dolphins have had 20 quarterbacks take the field since Marino announced his retirement. Not one QB has been successful. I won’t name all of them but some notable ones are draft bust Joey Harrington, Ryan Tannehill, Jay Cutler, Ryan Fitzpatrick, Josh Rosen, Brock Osweiler, and Chad Pennington just to name a few. Also, we cannot forget when Nick Saban and the Dolphins chose to sign Daunte Culpepper instead of future Hall of famer Drew Brees.

Someone has to step up to be the QB, Dolphins fans have wanted for over twenty years. The fans were ecstatic once Tua’s name was called. Many people, myself included, feel Tua will be the next great Dolphins QB. Already his teal jersey is the highest selling and his white jersey is the third highest selling.

Friday Night Smackdown Results 6/19/20

Matt Riddle vs AJ Styles

Matt Riddle makes his main roster debut on Friday Night Smackdown. He has done very well on NXT. However, Riddle is a former MMA fighter with a record of 8-3-1. This match was very exciting as AJ Styles is a very formidable opponent as he is the Intercontinental Champion. Both are known for their striking and aerial attack as we saw both use that to their advantage. Riddle picked up the win and now inserts himself into the Intercontinental title picture. Even though I am happy he debuted, I feel like he should not get a push so early and contend for a title.

Result: Riddle pins Styles for the win.

Grade: B

Shorty G vs Mojo Rawley

Prior to the match, Mojo Rawley attacked Shorty G while he was being interviewed. However, Shorty G saw the attack coming and was able to knock down Rawley before entering the ring. Rawley being angry from what transpired, attacked Shorty G before the match started. The match was pretty boring and there wasn’t anything exciting to say the least. However, a rivalry could be brewing. Shorty G rolled up Rawley for the win.

Results: Shorty G defeats Mojo Rawley via pinfall.

Grade: D+

The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) vs. Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik)

The New Day are the reigning and defending Smackdown Tag Team Champions. Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik are some of WWE’s best high-flyers the business has to offer. Smackdown Women’s Tag Team Champions and Smackdown Women’s Champion Bayley and Sasha Banks are at ringside. This match has been back-and-forth and very aggressive. Big E is using his power and throwing the Lucha House Party at ease. Big E and Kofi eventually picked up the win. After the match, Cesaro and Nakamura attacked The New Day. Cesaro and Nakamura defeated The New Day last week on Smackdown. They made a statement as they attacked the tag team champions and they feel they deserve a title match soon.

Results: The New Day (Big E and Kofi Kingston) defeat Lucha House Party (Lince Dorado and Gran Metalik) via pinfall.

Grade: B+

Nikki Cross vs. Sasha Banks

After a promo involving Lacey Evans, Alexa Bliss, Naomi, Dana Brooke, and other women, Nikki Cross sprinted to the ring to attack Sasha Banks and Bayley. Alexa Bliss than sprinted to help Cross and separate the two teams. Cross demanded a fight and Bayley accepted the challenge on Banks behalf. These two teams have had a heated rivalry and has progressed ever since Banks and Bayley won the Smackdown Women’s Tag Team Championships two weeks ago. An aggressive Cross has controlled most of the match. Banks countered with an impressive move and picked up the win.

Results: Banks beat Cross via Pinfall

Why The New York Mets Have Been One Of The Most Disappointing MLB Franchises?

For the last ten years the New York Mets have been one of the most disappointing and laughable franchises in the MLB. Mets fans have experienced a lot of painful seasons, injuries, disappointing walk-off or blown losses, and many more. Mets fans have always hoped and dreamed for next year to finally be their year. The Mets also are known for being one of the hottest teams in the league to start the season and then ending the season poorly.

In 2010 the Mets were managed by Jerry Manuel. They had a solid roster of Reyes, Johan Santana, Jason Bay, Justin Turner, Carlos Beltran, Lucas Duda and many more. However, with many injuries and some of these players underperforming the Mets finished 79-83.

In 2011 the Mets hired Terry Collins to be the new manager for the Mets in hope of a better year. Collins remained the manager until 2017. Some players had mediocre years minus being carried by Jose Reyes and Daniel Murphy. Four of the 5 pitchers also had losing records with the exception of Dillon Gee. In 2011 the Mets had a record of 77-85.

The Mets lineup was pretty mediocre. However, David Wright had a great year hitting .306. Jason Bay had a terrible year hitting .165. The pitchers were also unreliable with the exception with R.A. Dickey who went 20-6 with a 2.73 ERA and Jon Niese who went 13-9 with a 3.40 ERA. The Mets bullpen was atrocious and all of them had a high ERA with the exception of Bobby Parnell. The Mets finished 74-88.

Their pitching both starters and bullpen were overall mediocre. John Buck, Ike Davis, Omar Quintanilla, Juan Lagares, and Eric Young Jr. all had terrible stats at the plate. The Mets once again finished 74-88.

The Mets brought in some new players such as Curtis Granderson, Jacob deGrom, Ruben Tejada, and others. The Mets bullpen was much better than in previous years. However, Granderson, Young Jr. and Ruben Tejada all had bad years at the plate. However, the Mets did better than last year with a record of 79-83.

This most likely was a prove it year for him as he has not helped the Mets much as part of their rebuild. Well, Collins was up for the challenge and exceeded expectations and then some. The bullpen once again had a great year. With the exception of Jon Niese every starter had a record over .500 including future superstar Noah Syndergaard. Eric Campbell and Kevin Plawecki struggled mildly at the plate. However, everybody else was average or better. The Mets finished with a record of 90-72. The Mets won the NL East, and won the National League. However, they would lose the World Series to the Kansas City Royals in 5 games.

In 2016 the Mets had Terry Collins and had high hopes of going back to the World Series and hoping to win this time. The bullpen once again had an amazing year which helped the Mets make the playoffs. However, the Mets starters were all over the place. Matt Harvey had one of the worst years of his career as he posted a 4-10 record. Syndergaard and Bartolo Colon both had good years however. The Mets added Yoenis Cespedes to add more power, and defense to their lineup. Michael Conforto and Curtis Granderson both did not do well at the plate. In 2016 the Mets finished 87-75 which placed them second in their division but still made the playoffs. They would lose in the wildcard round to the San Francisco Giants.

To say the Mets were garbage is an understatement. Their pitchers both bullpen and starters had pretty horrendous years. Most of their hitters were very average. You do not win games by being average and horrendous. The Mets finished 70-92.

In 2018 the Mets finally canned Terry Collins. They hired Mickey Callaway to be the next Mets skipper in hopes he can bring more success. The Mets bullpen was miserable. The Mets 3-headed monster pitchers consisting of 2-time CY Young winner Jacob deGrom, Zack Wheeler, and Noah Syndegaard all had great years. The Mets brought in Todd Frazier and Jose Bautista in hopes of improving their hitting but it did not work out well. Once again a Mets catcher has underperformed miserably. Kevin Plawecki hit .210 from the plate. The Mets finished 77-85. Once again the Mets underperform and have disappoint their fans.

In 2019 Mickey Callaway was looking to bounce back and have a much better year. They added closer Edwin Diaz and slugger Robinson Cano. Unfortunately, Diaz had a miserable season as he went 2-7 with a 5.59 ERA. Their bullpen was mediocre as the Mets relied on great starting pitching. DeGrom and Wheeler both did well that season. In effort to make a postseason run as a wild card, the Mets acquired starting pitcher Marcus Stroman from the Toronto Blue Jays. Stroman as a Met finished 4-2 with a 3.77 ERA making an above average year. For the most part, the Mets hit very well with the exception of Michael Conforto who hit an abysmal .213. The Mets finished 86-76 but failed to make the playoffs. However, they were over .500 and still improved.

In 2020 the Mets had a busy offseason as they added Dellin Betances in attempt to try and improve the bullpen. The Mets felt they can surprise people and even make a playoff push this year. They hired Carlos Beltran to be the next manager after firing Callaway. However, with the Mets luck, he never managed a game for them due to his role in the Houston Astros cheating scandal. The Mets then went out and decided to hire Luis Rojas. Unfortunately, as of right now there is no MLB season due to Covid-19.

The Mets in the last decade have had many bad years and utterly bad performances. However, the most embarrassing part about the organization is how they handled Bobby Bonilla’s contact. Bonilla last took the field in 2001. However, him and the Mets agreed to be bought out. However, this means the Mets will have to pay him $1.2 million dollars until 2035. This means Bonilla is still under the Mets payroll until he is 72 years old. If this is not embarrassing enough for an MLB franchise I do not know what is.

AEW Dynamite Results 6/17/20

AEW Tag Team Title Match: Kenny Omega and Hangman Page vs. Natural Nightmares

This match was very entertaining. Kenny Omega is a living highlight reel. He is an amazing athlete that runs on tons of energy. Dustin Rhodes is a very experienced wrestler that has been wrestling for decades. The storyline continued with Allie distracting QT Marshall which angers Dustin Rhodes and Brandi Rhodes which ultimately costed the Natural Nightmares the match.

Page and Omega defeated Marshall and Rhodes via pinfall.

Grade: B-

Anna Jay vs. Abadon

Anna Jay made her AEW Dynamite debut as she wrestled Abadon who recently returned to AEW. This match did not last long as Anna Jay had little to no offense. One highlight that came out of the match was after Jay lost, Brodie Lee and The Dark Order came out and offered a contract to Colt Cabana as well as take Jay to the locker room.

Abadon beats Jay via pinfall.

Grade: D+

Billy vs. MJF

MJF looked to continue his feud with the Gunn Club as well as continue his undefeated streak. He took on leader of the Gunn Club Billy Gunn. Billy Gun is a highly established wrestler as he wrestled for the WWE as well. MJF is an up-and-coming star that reminds me of The Miz with his amazing in-ring and mic skills. MJF was hit in the head and headed towards the locker room during the match. However, Billy Gunn would go and pickup MJF and bring him back to the ring. MJF picked up the victory. However, after the match the Lucha Express jumped over the rope and attacked MJF and Wardlow thus continuing their feud.

MJF defeated Billy Gunn via pinfall.

Grade: C+

TNT Championship Match: Cody vs. Ricky Starks

Ricky Starks, debatably one of the hottest wrestling free agents accepted Cody’s open challenge. Starks seems to have a lot of potential and is very athletic and versatile. However, he still has a lot to learn but he will continue to progress. Cody is debatably one of the best wrestlers in AEW. He successfully defended his title once again in a high octane match.

Cody defeats Starks via pinfall.

Grade: B

The Young Bucks vs. Superbad Squad

The Young Bucks are a high energy tag team that are always willing to put their bodies on the line. They remind me of The Hardy Boyz during the Attitude Era. Kip Sapian is an underrated wrestler. This match was very fun to watch as it was back and forth. Or at least it was, until Butcher & Blade and FTR decided to get involved. The Young Bucks defeated Superbad Squad via pinfall. After the match the four teams all fought as they are continuing the feud of who the better team is.

Grade: A-

No. 1 Contenders Match: Best Friends vs. Le Sex Gods

Leader of the Inner Circle and Le Sex Gods, Chris Jericho has been wrestling for decades. He is a great opportunist and heel who takes advantage and steals momentum at any given moment. He has also, mentored up-and-coming star Sammy Guevara. The winner of this match would get the opportunity to challenge Kenny Omega and “Hangman” Adam Page for the AEW Tag Titles at Fyter Fest. This match was an explosive back-and-forth match. You could tell there bad blood between the two teams especially after the gruesome attack to Orange Cassidy last week. Chris Jericho and Sammy Guevara both used the bat to hit Trent and Chuck Taylor when the ref was not looking. Orange Cassidy disguised as a cameraman to aid his team to win the match and become #1 contenders. He then attacked Jericho leading to a match between the two coming up.

Results: Best Friends defeat Le Sex Gods via pinfall

Grade: A

2020 NFL Draft

The 2020 National Football League (NFL) Draft was supposed to be held in Las Vegas, Nevada on April 23-25. However, because of the coronavirus the draft will no longer be held in Vegas and teams will now be drafting privately through a video conference I the teams practice facilities. The NFL Commissioner Roger Goodell should allow for an extra five minutes to make the selection because the draft is very important to teams and is a great way to improve their team. The general managers for each team need to contact their front office staff and make sure their pick is the right one. Also, teams are potentially at risk of losing Wi-Fi connection and they may not be able to draft. The Pittsburgh Steelers general manager proposed that the NFL should add three more rounds in the draft. EA Sports, the company that makes and develops the Madden video games has partnered with the NFL and created virtual players of the draftees to shake Goodell’s hand as they are drafted.
